Crisis response for Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities

On 23rd March 2020, DHRRA initiated and led a coalition of 20 local NGOs known as COVIDCAREMY to ensure no one is left behind since the implementation of Movement Control Order from 18 March the same year. Through the collective effort, we successfully reached out to more than 12,014 families with essential needs support, including food and grocery aid, medicines and care line support. Subsequently, we launched COVIDCAREMY 2.0 and recently COVIDCAREMY 3.0, to extend the support to marginalized communities whose life continued to be severely affected by COVID-19 pandemic, to ease the impact of the crisis and to ensure they affected communities can thrive through during this difficult period and work towards establishing sustainable income.

A major outcome of this initiative is the launching of KitaCareMY, a holistic long term response, to continuously support and build the resilience of marginalized and vulnerable communities against crisis. This is in line with our commitment to the realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of leaving no one behind.
